Virginia Kathryn is also a writer.

Her work sits at the intersection of science fiction, horror, and literary fiction.

Her short story "Electric Muse" was included in a 2024 anthology published by Weird Little Worlds Press.

In 2025, she took a Creative Sabbatical at Ragdale, a nonprofit artist community in Lake Forest, Illinois, to work on her latest novel.

She is now querying that same novel -- a story of dark academia and cosmic horror.
